Get the 4k or the 4k max. Do not, I repeat do not get the non-4k stick. It's a night and day difference in speed in terms of UI loading and navigating the OS environment.

Yeah, there's no point going for the non-4K stick, even if you only got a 1080p TV/display

i got two 3rd gens for $21 all in from Staples in July sale using discount codes. Costed $10.50 each

at that time two 4K versions were costing $39.95 ($20 each) using discount codes

i had been using 4K Max already..so 3rd gens for me was an instant buy to carry during Travel as i have my personal iPTV, Movies/Series URLs pinned on browser

The fire stick is rubbish. 90% filled with ads, and it loads slow. They've removed the custom launchers that you could use to remove ads.
