Fireplace surround

Anyone know where I can purchase a slate or limestone fireplace surround? Similar to the grey piece that is in the picture attached..

Someone told me I need to buy an entire slab and have it cut, not very cost effective so looking for suggestions.

Try the store or manufacturer that sells the fireplace.

You’ll probably need to buy the slab and have it cut. The fireplace maybe a standard size but no one knows how big the rest of your mantle will be.

Not many options if you are trying to make it one piece, and would need to have a custom cut done by a stone shop. It appears in the pic that it is made from three pieces, so that would be a more cost effective way

Why not use three pieces? One long across the top and two shorter sides.
Go to a countertop place and see if they have any remnants or cut offs that might work to make the 3 pieces fit.

Yeah, I'm good with 3 pieces.. but still having trouble finding place to purchase. The places I called are saying I need to buy the entire slab which I don't want to do.

Use backsplash pieces from a counter top place. 3-4” are standard but I think you can easily get 6”

I would NOT use one piece cut out like that as I can 100% see it cracking if the house ever moves.
