First time dog owners.

How did you prepare for your new pet?
What did you expect?
What really happened once the dog arrived?

Requires a lot of attention. You really do become "dog people" as it dictates the rest of your life.

As a first time dog owner...i was told puppies are a lot of work, I prepared by reading multiple books and watching Zak Georges series on puppy training. However, I was still overwhelmed when my 8 week golden retriever arrived. They require so so so much supervision, and your whole schedule revolves around them from taking them to walks, to taking them to the bathroom.

Welcome to your next 15+ years, hopefully.
