Fixing a sliding door help please!

One of our sliding closet doors has recently popped off the bottom track. Looking behind the door, I notice there is a guide attachment with a nylon plastic piece you can push down back into the channel of the track. But no matter how hard I push, it won't pop back in, causing the door to be super wobbly.

Does anyone know if there's a specific method how I'm supposed to get this to fit back in? I looked for youtube videos and couldn't find anything. Am I supposed to take a screwdriver and push down at the 2 bottom nylon feet and force it in the track (like in diagram A) or am I supposed to push down and hammer the nylon piecer from above (like diagram B)?

Will using a screw driver damage the nylon piece?

check that the top rollers aren't off track as well. If they've fallen off then they won't be at the right height, forcing the bottom guide to not go back properly.

Or check to see if you need to get it to the end of the railing.

Thanks! I checked the top rollers and they are in place so no issues there. Just can't seem to pop the bottom rollers into place :(

Any other suggestions?

Try this

Sorry I've done it before but it's been a long time I've forgotten how I dealt with it personally.

Thank you very much for the video!

I tried using a couple of flat head screw drivers, but the plastic part on mine is slightly different (much smaller) and was very difficult to get this to work. Eventually I just leaned onto the door while using a flat head screwdriver to push those little nylon feet into the channel and eventually that worked. I think they got a bit scraped though so i ended up sticking a little plastic piece above the nylon roller, to prevent the roller from popping out of the track again.

I'm not sure if there is an easier way besides this or the clip you posted but it would have helped if I had to of those wider scraper tools like the video.

Have to agree it is a PITA when one won't slip in as it was intended. Don't think you are doing anything wrong, i also find at times one of the clips just gives me no end of pain, jiggle a bit up and down, in and out, maybe even left right....after a bit of frustration it usually will seat properly.

Good luck, i know your frustration.....

Thanks!! yes that was exactly it! I thought I was doing something wrong and I kept jiggling it up and down and I could tell the more force I was exerting, it started to strip the nylon clip. I was worried I would end up damaging that piece completely. I didn't even notice when it finally popped into the track but I was so happy when it did :)
