A single 7 GB bucket valid for a 360 day period.

Obviously not as hot of a deal per GB as the Three HK 3 deal, but if you don't want to deal with a Chinese IP address (solvable with a VPN, I know) this could be handy.

I messaged them to ask what Canadian cell networks they support, as it says you can manually choose your carrier and this could be a cheap way for me to have data access in the Toronto subway by manually roaming on Shaw/Freedom.

Update: These are the supported Canadian networks:

I think you're better off buying specific countries of where you will be traveling to for better value. It's easy when you have an esim.

Man, I was going to get this for my kid: over 500 MB per month for about $2 per month. But the phone doesn't do eSIM. Does anything plan with a physical SIM come close to this?

If you go thru the purchase, there is an option to get a free SIM:
"Notice for non-eSIM device (optional)
If you do not have an eSIM device, you will be guided to receive a Free SIM card after you've downloaded Flexiroam X app into your phone. Please note that additional shipping cost will apply."

Don't know how much it cost and how it works since I will be getting a esim only

From my experience, eSIM is not typically available with pre-paid accounts. That was the case just before the pandemic.

For me the biggest deal breaker in the three hk plan is the horrendous ping. A VPN would make it even worse.

The same if you use Fido Roam for example. Or any other provider roaming features.

Not necessarily true... In my experience using Cloudflare WARP, effect on latency was negligible

I used them in egypt recently:

Pros: Jersey telecom roaming, fast LTE speed. You can cancel and refund unused packages to store credit.

Cons/Warning: you cannot use any promo codes with store credit. They raised their regular price for a lot of packages recently and the prices are not that competitive. ***Also, very sneaky - they won't allow you use your credit unless the credit is enough to cover the entire transaction; otherwise, you need to top up with a minimal of $10 - which means you are likely always have a balance that you wont be able to use.

They do run sales pretty much every week - the highest I got recently was 85% and 70% off. After discount, the prices are good. That said - ONLY BUY WHAT YOU NEED WHEN DISCOUNTED.

Depends on the country, but $12-$15/day typically.

Fido roam used to be decent, but no longer. For most places it is much cheaper to just get a local sim (or this offer I guess).

That sounded super expensive in compare to Flexiroam...

OP, please include the price in the title and specify whether it's $30USD or CAD? Thanks in advance!

To save everyone else time, the cost per GB comparison between Three HK 3 and Flexiroam is as follows $3.38 CAD/GB and $5.61 CAD/GB, respectively...

The total price is close enough for each company that I might just give both companies a try to compare the service and network quality... Where is flexiroam based out of?

Actually not really. E.g. if you buy US data from like Knowroaming, it's $4.5/GB. 7GB will cost you $31.5. Other countries are more expensive. Also this is global and useful if you go to different countries.

I just signed up for 5gb 360days. It's $5.00usd for the starter pack includes the sim and shipping fee. I got 2 sims so $10.00 usd total.
