Flight from Shanghai/Beijing to Toronto

Hello,

I am looking for a flight from either Shanghai/Beijing to Toronto, only condition is that flight must be:
1. Direct
2. Business class preferred
3. I have points to use with Aeroplan, Alaska and Amex MR

When I searched on Aeroplan, I noticed I need 300k points for one way business class which is ridiculously high...

I was wondering if any other folks have any good opinion

Demand is high, flights few with limited airlines able to service China with dynamic covid zero policy. Lots of US airlines have cut service/frequency if not entirely which further increase demand for the few flights still running

Long way of saying, you're SOL especially for J class.

I mean roundtrip tickers are going for like 15k cheapest , have you looked at prices for paid ticket? If you have, not hard to see why points are so high too

Toronto, ON
No idea when you are planning on traveling but i found a flight on October 31, 2022 from PVG to YYZ direct for 137k points plus $18 for business class with AC.

There are deals to be had, i booked two one way tickets from CAI - YUL - YYZ business class for 79k points and $1100.

When Aeroplan had Flex Points instead of market price like now a day, it was much better as I was able to book at flat price. This is bad now lol....
