How long do these deals typically last for? Looking to book but won't know if I can get vacation approved until next week.

As a note, on the transpacific Delta flights, you can often get a <24 hour layover in a Delta hub like Seattle, Atlanta, MSP, NYC or Detroit for <$50, in case you wanted to tie in meeting some friends to/from Japan.

When booking, pay attention to the aircraft and try to pick the A350 from DTW to NRT. It's their latest aircraft (only 1 yr old) and much better than the old 777 that flies the same route.

Business class tickets are also on sale if anyone's interested. Delta one suite on the A350.

That site is showing me less than 730 bucks return from Toronto to Bangkok.

Off to see the wife.

Edit: 50 hour flight.... never mind :)

I started to book with flighthub but they charged $30 for a "seat selection booking fee" or something stupid. I cancelled and booked directly with Delta and chose my seats without any fee.
Same price.

Didn't look for it but got the a350 on my outgoing flight! Score!

777 on the way back though through MSP.

Looks like the MSP - Haneda route will be one of the first few to be served by the newly refurnished 777HD.

Just a friendly reminder that you will arriving at Narita, but returning from Haneda. Don't go to the wrong airport :)

Nice. I have $1,000 in Delta credit due to a cancelled flight. Looks like I'm going to Japan again!

Looks like the deal is over?
Looks like it.
Delta One suites on the A350 can still be had for low $3000 return. Still pretty decent deal if you want to spend that cash.

Make sure you look at the layover time! Some of these itineraries are effectively impossible because you will need to clear American customs and then go through security again when transiting through the US!
