Floating Basement Walls

I have seen this method on most channels for floating basement walls.



However this is something that I just ran across. His baseplate are attached to the subfloor and there is no direct connection to the concrete. I imagine this is fine since these are not load bearing walls. Any issues anyone can see with this? Would a building or electrical inspector have any issues with floating walls in Ontario?
