Big Boy restaurant. Used to be one in the Sheridan Mall (now the Pickering Town Centre) where the East Side Marios is. Used to have a statue of Big Boy out the front I used to play with...

Yep. Used to be one on a restaurant pad in front of the Albion Mall. Dad would take us there for pancakes/french toast. Mmmm.

Well, I personally won't miss it but the thread is supposed to be for OLD restaurants that are LONG-GONE. We need everyone to go into a trance and go back to their childhood and dig deep, deeper..... deeeeeper..........WAKE-UP!!! Well what did you remember, where was it and what was your favourite food there?

Yeah, there's still a "Red Barn" building the north side of Dundas between Kipling and Islington if I recall. It's a Mr. Sub or HoLee Chow now, but still clearly recognizable for it's old RB format. Architectural gem? ;)

And that's A&W, not A&P (groceries).

There's a former Red Barn on Dufferin just south of Yorkdale on the east side also clearly recognizable!

I still remember their jingle that went something like "When the hungries hit - when the hungries hit...hit the Red Barn".

Take a trip down Red Barn memory lane
Turn your sound up and have a look....
