LOL, Kawartha Lakes Ice Cream is ok, but if you enjoy Ice Cream and not Ice Milk, it doesn't hold a candle to Haagan Dazs.

Kawarth Lakes Ingredients: Fresh milk, fresh cream, sugar, skim milk powder

Haagan Dazs: Cream, sugar, concentrated skim milk
Well both HD and Kawartha are on sale. Pick whichever one you prefer. It's my first time trying Kawartha, always bought HD previously. Maybe that coupled with it being Canadian, made it taste better in my mind.

Costco is the 2 liter one and works out slightly cheaper.

+1 Love Ben and Jerry's. Surprised how much hate Kawartha is getting and how many people like HD.

Updated the thread title to include B&J. I figured people would pick HD (also cheaper for same size) over B&J.

Tried Kawartha once and it didn't stand out especially considering the higher price point, so I've never bothered again.

IMO, for ice cream bars, nothing competes with Magnum – their selection and taste is unmatched and has completely made me lose interest in Hagen Daas bars now. Unfortunately Magnum bars hardly ever go on sale.

Since I can't appreciate and justify the higher cost of real ice cream in a tub, I stick to the $2 Breyer frozen desserts when they go on sale for that price – can't beat heavenly hash... add some fresh berries to it (and the odd time some baileys poured overtop) and it makes a damn premium tasting dessert out of a $2 tub.

Costco only has vanilla and moose tracks.
Just bought a bunch from metro since they have like 12+ flavour selection.

Kawartha is decent compared to Champman's or budget grocery brands. But it's hardly any better than the creamy Breyers stuff or Nestle novelties. Haagen-Dazs is next level.. best global major brand of ice cream there is.

Magnum bars are always on sale at Shoppers. 2 for $10.
Sometimes Loblaws does one for $5/$4.50.

Magnum ice cream bars? They're on sale for $4.97 at no frills + 1000 PC points.

Also, food basics has Magnum novelties on sale for $4.49 (3x90ml or 3x100ml).

Never tried them, but I might next time.

Kawartha Lakes was good once upon a time before they started putting in fillers and gums.
