Forced tipping on the CHATIME app vol. Not cool

I tried placing an order for pick up in the app it said something along the lines of cannot process 3x. Checked my CC # and it was correct

Welp, I put in a tip and it went through seamlessly 🤷🏽‍♂️

This age of forced tipping sucks. Ive been pretty consistent tipper especially for students who work so hard but I personally dont like being forced to do it

Somewhere over the r…
Are you sure it's not user error? Like having to insert $0 instead of leaving it blank?

A forced tip requirement would be a death sentence. No one does it.

Edit**** I just read their FAQ, A tip is not required, must be user error

That might be it! I ordered Chattime last night. No forced tip.

Sounds like a manual tipping process.
Try a tip of only 0.01 and see if it still goes through seamlessly, maybe?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I'm sure the choices were only No tip followed by 5, 10, 20 or 25%. No custom box where you can place an amount of your liking

And yes NO TIP was selected the first 3x. The 4th time I selected 5%

And if people think the amounts are menial - thats not the issue here. By all means whatever the F 25% is a no issue, but you cant force that on customers

Pretty appalled people dont see whats wrong with forced tipping these days, and no businesses should be operating without having to force that on customers. Increase your prices but no way people should be supplementing your employees' salaries.
