[Fido] Free $10 gift card for switching to automatic payment YMMV

Only for those who aren't already doing automatic payments.

Got a notification in the app and made the switch.

You will also need to go to your Fido XTRA to activate the promo. Will take a week before you get the gift card.

Update: Got the gift card two days later. I didn't get the notification, but found it in the Fido XTRA page saying my reward is ready. There's a few options to choose form but I chose the prepaid MasterCard.

Does anyone know what the $10 gift certificate options are? Is it just $10 off your next Fido bill? I think it’s odd that they don’t describe what you’re getting at all.

All they said was they will send you a message in the app to choose the reward. I'd assume bill credit would be an option. Guess we won't know for sure until a week.

Actually I think this is new revenue stream for Fido - they will charge you 25$ after 3 failed CC charge attempts!!! So be careful - make sure to cancel it! I had it for a while, then my card expired and I didn't bother to change info - so they sent me couple notifications about failed payment and then charged 25$ fee! I never heard of this before! I can understand old scheme of charging fees for NSF bank check - but never though they would dare to charge me for failed CC transactions. When I tried to waive these charges it was not easy! I had to chat with 2 reps and cancel my service! After that only thing they can do for me is give me service credit when I pay outstanding balance - and of course I don't need this credit since I canceled the service. I am sure there is something about this in legal agreement - but tis is type of thing they should give big bold warning about when you agree. Seems like scam to me!

I enrolled the day before and saw it today in the app

options are Apple/itunes, Indigo, PetroCan, and donate to some charity

I never get any notifications from the app on my iphone, even though I turned it on.
Had to go into the app to check manually
