Who even need that many key but can wait for a deal? Key copying doesn't sound like the kind of thing you can wait around.

You know what they say... 1 to spare, and 1 to lose 5 billion to lose :)

(For those without context, I'm referencing the slogan on ThingsEngraved envelope when you cut keys there)

Is this the same deal as Google? When you get a product for free, that means you've paid for it with your personal information? So, they make you a key, and keep a copy for themselves as well?

Just don't enter your personal information, it is voluntary. You can make copy without putting in anything. There's no use for the copy when they don't know who it belong to.

Was this at a Canadian Tire, Walmart, Rona, Lowe’s or Reno Depot? I think the code is only valid at those store banners, not like say Home Depot, etc.

If you wear your tin foil hat when you go there, they won't even recognize you.

I don't recall seeing these at Lowes.
In fact in Rand McNally they wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people
