Weird - downvoting something free? Personally, I found the Sherlock movies painful to watch (have never been able to sit through one start to finish), but free is free.

2 downvotes for “not a good price”? Huh, free is a bad price? smh
Like anything on RFD, if you don’t like or want it, you ignore it and move on.

Easy to understand downvotes.

Random website Promise’s to give a free movie and in exchange want your full name, address and full credit card details including CVV.

That doesn’t seem dodgy at all Face With Rolling Eyes

Obviously those guys speaking about free stuffs above don't bother to give it a try or care about their personal information.

The merits of the old movie notwithstanding, how is this offer dodgy? I received the same invitation from Visa Infinite via their email offers, which I registered to receive. Plus the actual redemption code is from Cineplex.

The first one was awesome IMO. You sit there watching the first 3/4 of the movie wonder WTF you're watching, and thinking "how is this Sherlock Holmes? Did I walk into the wrong theatre?" But in the denouement it alllll comes together...Sherlock Holmes style. I've never watched the sequel though.

this seems so random... why this movie of all movies? and it's relatively old... i imagine most folks have seen it or could easily see it free (ie without the help of visa infinite).
while i'm not knocking visa's effort... i wonder if it's costing them anything at all to dole out this movie... would've been nice if it was a newer movie...

This just seems too odd for me.
As another said, not worth exposing your credit card number.

I just checked through the Visa Infinite website and it makes no mention of this.

Did you received the code?
I’m still waiting on mine since yesterday afternoon.
I’m starting to find this thing fishy...

contrast the pop-up candy shop for visa infinite card holders... remember that at TIFF last year... that was awesome... no hesitation to sign up for something like that.
