Do they scan it or do you have to show it? Might just watch a movie and go get another one after. Or even better, go get some popcorn, drop it off in your seat, then line up in a different line!
yes they scan your card

for adventurous people at Scotiabank Cinema in Toronto today, you could top your free popcorn with free nacho cheese from Taco Bell nearby

BTW for today's popcorn you can upgrade from free small to a regular for $0.50. Add another $0.50 to that if want to upgrade to large size.
Not only did we embarrass Marky Mark, we let down the Funky Bunch.

Can you show them 2 scene cards and get 2 popcorns or do you have to line up separately?

I bet Cineplex saved some money on this popcorn offer when people are choosing to stay at home and not redeem it during the cold front this weekend (of course that means it's at the loss of ticket sales revenue). Some regions of Canada are hitting -30s with windchill this saturday. Those people are probably gonna stay at home.

Got mine today, upgraded to a large for $1.14. Was going to see Jumanji 2 for the Family Favourites, but ended up in the wrong theater (Ticket taker told me #5, Ticket showed #6. I just assumed maybe they changed the theater for some reason, so I ended up watching a Dragon Ball Z movie instead by mistake)

Lol Cineplex saving money from not selling popcorn is an understatement. A 1000% markup on a product they buy for pennies on the dollar. It's the most ripoff to us consumers in this industry for years. I'm sure they will be sleeping well tonight. Concession items is what actually props their business up more than the movie sales.

Unless they'll make some extra money (or some extra money back) ... via some more people buying movie tickets ... who figured "let's watch a movie, while getting a free popcorn" ... I bet some will also buy a drink, lol ... which will bring some extra revenue back as well .... :D
