I saw an ad on TV last night about this. Agree - website reveals nothing so far but I understood it to be at the boxes - not sure about stores and/or subscriptions.

i think i can confirm this as my dad owns a newstands and toronto star are free for ~2 weeks dont know the start and end dates...
so i think its probably free everywhere.. and it make sense its during the Olympics...

They were giving out free copies of The Star in front of Union Station along with a free hockey puck!

Confirmed. It's free at retail outlets as well. I went to the local corner store in Scarborough and didn't even have to reach into the pocket before the owner was like, "It's free"

I even got it delievered free to my home today.
I have free delivery on Saturdays through an old promotion. So maybe they will deliver it every weekeday throughout the Olympics as well?

Most City of Toronto Rec Centres give the Star away for free as well.

Yeah I was in Food Basics yesterday at Bayview and John and they had the stand out. I noticed it said free but I had to do a double take...than I snagged one
