The Calgary Glenbow has free tours online too. But you really can’t compare it to the Smithsonian.

Anyone checked them yet? Very limited cameras in the zoos. Couple of cameras focussed on specific animals. :( Wish they had full coverage.

Only tried three so far.

Louvre - very small images, recommend viewing on a big screen. At least one exhibit was in French only. Egypt exhibit only had info/resizable image on a small percentage of the artifacts. I'd be pissed if I paid for the virtual tour. Not even worth it for free IMO.

Australia Zoo - couldn't get some of the feeds to stream (I'm on limited bandwidth, so that could be why?)

San Diego Zoo - no problem streaming, some of the cameras were actively following the animals. Others were stationary.

Honestly, for the zoo cams you're better off just watching youtube videos on the animals you want to see. They'll be edited to show you the best stuff and leave out the monotony.
