Why would'nt you take profit of the table service meal? Just have to make reservation... Whenwe went we were staying in value resort and paid to get an upgrade to the "middle" dining plan and it worth it
For some people too much time wasted. For example, if you go to a California Grill you will be a good 2 hours by the time you are out.

Seems liek they havn't offered Jan-March free dining since 2011 it seems though.

Weird as Jan/early feb is pretty slow. The price of these plans keep increasing Im wondering if its even worth it anymore.
Got the free dining plan in February of 2012. Well worth it back then.

Did not tried California Grill, and never been seated forvthat long, but even 2 hours seating and resting is not that bad when you woke up early in the morning... On vacation you also have to take time to rest a bit... At least that is the way I see avgood vacation trip, even at WDW

+1 for the dining plan and also reserving ahead of time to get the more desirable restaurants. The food is actually pretty good through the resort if you plan carefully.
