Free website w/ custom domain?
Hey everyone, I’m looking to create a very simple website with a custom domain. Anyone know of any free or inexpensive ways to create one? I would prefer if it didn’t have website ads at the bottom (I.e weebly)

Google Domains + Google Sites is a cheap option, you would only be paying for the domain. That being said, Google Sites aren't the fanciest, but they're cheap.
You'll be hard pressed to find a perpetual free option for both a domain name and a website.

You won't find a domain name for free, because it simply isn't free. However, some companies will pay for it for you if you buy hosting from them.
NameSilo is the cheapest I've found for domain names like .com: $8.99US/yr (~$11.50CDN right now)
CanSpace is the cheapest for .ca domains: $10.99CDN/yr
Hosting is a whole different story with a lot of answers. CanSpace does offer hosting starting at $4.99CDN/month. It makes it easier when you domain and hosting is in the same place, but it doesn't have to be like that. You can host elsewhere.
