Anyone know if I can cancel after opening the line since the phone is 0$ tab or do they have a claw back clause?

You pay back the full price of the phone (ie its not like Koodo where you pay off the tab).

The balance decreases in equal installments every month. Eg. If you cancel after 12 months, you pay 50% of the cost of the phone.

I was told if you do an early cancellation (less than 2 years) then you pay the full price.

Oops yeah should have been more clear. I assumed they were asking about cancelling right away (so in that case they would pay the full Freedom retail price of the phone).

I believe so - if you look on your account it will say how much tab is remaining and you would be charged that should you decide to leave before the 24 months are up.

Any down payment would also be subtracted.

Look at your original agreement when you sign and it tells you the value of the hardware.

So if I am understanding things correctly, you would owe $450 (since this is the bonus amount they are claiming on the website).

Yeah so 450 - any upfront payment if you cancel right away.
