They charged me $30 for activation fee in store. However I ported over from Fido before this promo for the $35/11gb plan they had initially

I'm guessing the port from koodo / telus deal expired since it is no longer on their website.

**** that's a good deal. Unfortunately I travel a lot so having limited data in their national coverage area kills it for me.

I didn't ask them for this 5gb add on specifically but asked them for the $35 / 11gb price match a few days ago and they wouldn't give it to me. Been with them since 2012. Didn't get anything that wasn't already available online. bloody waste of time. In BC and contract is up in a couple months. kept saying how Fido's network is better and the rep didn't even know what Zoomer was even though its owned by Rogers. Told them I will be shopping around. I do see a iPhone 11 on Freedom switch for 0$ with a $60 plan. Seems like a decent deal, just not sure whether their coverage in Van is good enough. I was with WIND long time ago and did not like their coverage.

Fido offered me 2x5GB over the past year. Not sure how I feel switching to Freedom seeing I don't even need a new phone right now.

IMO The $35 11GB plan is even better than SHAW $45 25GB plan. Freedom $35 plan includes a free phone and no Shaw Internet subscriber requirement.

I did this yesterday got my bill notice from Rogers today. No email or phone calls yet about Winback. I will let you know.
