[Freedom Mobile] 3Gb - $25 Freedom Mobile at Value mobile Kiosk

Price:: $25
Retailer:: Freedom Mobile

Value mobile kiosks are offering the below plan from freedom mobile for new customers.

$25 for 3gb data nationwide data - Unlimited talk/text. Seems to be vaild for 24 months.

They are charging an activation fee of $45 to get the plan, which is definitely high.

I know freedom is not for everyone, but has anyone got this plan without paying the absurd activation fee.
I have tried contacting freedom and their customer support is not able to offer this plan.

You have to be a new customer. Easiest is to port out and then take the plan. Porting cost would be extra though.

I assume that these services can only be used on the Freedom/Shaw network (i.e. no allowance for talk/text/data roaming on Robellus).

i was told by the rep at the kiosk that everything is nationwide. So, if freedom does not have coverage you would be connected to another provider.

I’m on it. There is roaming for talk and text, but not the data portion

For this $20/3GB plan:

- Is it a prepaid plan or month to month postpaid?
- Is it only for 12 months and then price increases, or permanent pricing?
- Is the data Nationwide? Or are you stuck to only being able to use data when in Freedom Home zone (not Away)?

EDIT I see you provided link to plan above. Unfortunately its not a standalone plan... 3GB/$20 is only if you add a line to an existing plan. Oh well.

No add a line discount.
It's $25 less ,$5 auto pay discount so $20.
They wouldn't waive $45 activation fee so I said no.
