[Freedom Mobile] 50$/mo for 8GB, 60$/mo for 15GB, 80$/mo for 20GB, 100$/mo for 30GB LTE unlimited text/talk plans

Freedom has announced their limited time plans in response to the big 3. You need to get the Digital Discount with AutoPay. You also can get additional monthly discount when BYOD.

Additional Plan Features (Freedom Nationwide):
Voicemail+

Call Control (Caller ID, Missed Call Alerts, Conference Calling, Call Forwarding, Call Waiting)

Access to Freedom Wi-Fi Hotspots in Western Canada

Standard long-distance rates apply for calls to the U.S. and other international destinations

Plans aren't limited time. The plans are all the same as they were before (with the exception of the $100 one. It was $100/20GB but now it is $100/25GB). All these plans have bonus data as well. $50 is 5GB+3GB bonus and the others all have 5GB bonus so $60/10GB+5GB, $80/15GB+5GB and $100/25GB+5GB

$45 for 8GB (for 12months, $50 after that) isn't horrible when you BYOD.
I just left Freedom ($40 for 4GB) for Virgin Mobile $45 for 6GB for 12months, $50 after that.

I thought there was a $50 for 10GB plan. Now it's 8GB only?
Oh, these plans have talk minutes right? The plan i was referring to doesn't have talk.

How'd you get the $45 for 6GB?

How is Freedom's service in Toronto now? When they were Wind mobile, I barely had any service in the Downtown core area.

I noticed their plans indicated that talk and text is Nationwide. Does anyone have any experiences with how well the handoff is to Rogers/Telus'network? If there is a weak Freedom signal, will the phone try to make the call on the Freedom network or just jump straight onto the Telus or Rogers network under this scenario?

It's the $55 for 6GB plan with a $10 discount for 12mo BYOD. They also waived the activation fee and supplied a free SIM, so really there was no reason for me not to switch.
It was in-store at a BC location on Sunday (Father's Day). I can't remember what the rep said though because I think he said the -$10 discount was going on for a long time, but the Father's Day promo was for maybe the 4GB +2GB? I can't remember for the life of me. If I were you, I'd go in-store and ask about a $10 discount for new activations on BYOD

Their plans are slowly getting worst as they morph into the big four, and I remember when everyone was claiming they were giving the big three a run for its money haha.

Perfect. I switched from Rogers in January and havent seen any difference in the GTA and I work in downtown, so it's fine, no issues. When you get outside the builtup areas, it's not great.

Not smoking hot, but not cold either.

The time has come for $50/month, 100GB / month plan, or option to buy extra gigs when needed at lower prices. We live in a mobile world, the plans need to reflect this.
