You can also choose the S9 or Huawei P30 lite for free on this plan if you don't want the A71 (or pay $15/month for 2 years for the Pixel 4.)
(For the S9, Snapdragon 845 is still better than the Snapdragon 730)

Isn't the S9 a bit on the edge with 6 month away from not receiving security updates?

Sometime you'd just have to live life on the edge! Face With Stuck-out Tongue And Tightly-closed Eyes

Superb deal for folks who live and work in areas with good freedom coverage. 20gb though! Gosh the price of data is dropping...fast. At this rate, we might finally be able to use our phones as connected devices.

Wouldn't it be moving to quarterly instead of monthly?

Only 1GB of data on nationwide (roaming networks). Given freedom's pretty poor coverage in the Vancouver area that means I'd be paying $65 for a 1GB plan essentially. That's definitely a hard sell.

Good freedom coverage. Where is that. I've tried wind and freedom. Never kept it for more than a month. 65 bucks a month is basically what I pay for at robbers. But at least I never miss calls like it's 97

Bell/Rogers at certain phone booth [ie. Wireless Wave, Best buy Mobile and a couple more] I've seen at the malls "In-store Special" with the $65 - 20GB unlimited promotion. But I believe it's BYOP though.

Believe it or not, in the Yonge/Steeles area where I live, freedom mobile reception is better than when I was with Zoomer which is owned by Rogers. When I'm down in the basement, with Zoomer the phone misses calls but not with Freedom. Maybe they have a tower nearby?

I’ve been using Freedom for nearly a year in Vancouver area and I rarely lose service. The only time where I had to use my 1GB roaming data was when I was in West Vancouver and along the Sea to Sky.

Glad you figured out freedom isn't for you. I'm surprised you are still here commenting on this thread though. I did say it's for those with great service in their area. I live and work in Mississauga, 95% of my Life is spent in Mississauga. Freedom is perfect for me. The only places you are ever really at risk of losing service is indoors and with VoWifi which this deal makes you eligible for, that shouldn't be an issue.

The Big Gig Unlimited plans are ineligible for the old %F&F discounts. Your F&F would be converted to a permanent $15 monthly discount.

I meant android phones have security updates for 3 years and S9 was released in 2018. From what I recalled, old smartphones did not get the update even for critical security against meltdown and spectre virus.

Hello,
Is this plan eligible with the old 35% off f&f discount?

Thanks!
