Freedom is doing the same crap that the big 3 are doing now. Their plans are barely any better. It's probably cuz Rogers is about to buy em out.

So much for competition.

this is just false, zoomer maxes out at 7gb and then you pay $20/gb for anything over so if you wanted a 9gb plan there it would $65/month or $300/month for 20gb. . So yeah this might not be the "best bang for the buck" but its better for those who are looking for more data in their plans.

I've highlighted the $35 for 3GB part in case it wasn't obvious

They stopped being competitive as they know they will be bought out by Rogers, still hoping the useless government does not allow that and Freedom goes to Videotron instead

Same. At the least they should be forced to spin off Freedom to Videotron or someone else. No way should Rogers or the big 3 be allowed to buy another competitor yet again. But I hold out little hope the government will step in, they are very useless. I hope they prove me wrong.

Not with close to top tier phones with reasonable copays ($15/month for S20FE/iPhone 11 or $25/month for iPhone 12) on the $50/20GB plan

We don’t need competition in Canada. My friend works at Rogers HQ and he told me they were extremely worried when there were rumors that Americans will come to Canada and improve coverage, while lowering costs. He told me that the excuse “Canadians will lose jobs” worked wonderfully for the Big 3. As soon as freedom mobile disappears, we will go back to more expensive cellular service. Stability is key, not progress.

The deal is good, however the Freedom site is totally broken. Clicking Activate Now keeps looping me back to the same page.

Videotron won a lot a new 5G spectrum across Canada last week. They picked up spectrum in Ontario and western Canada with the exception of Saskatchewan. My suspicion is they are positioning to potentially acquire Freedom if Rogers gets the go ahead to acquire Shaw's cable division providing they spin-off wireless. It's not as if Rogers needs Freedom, other than to reduce competition so as to increase profits.

It's a bit disappointing. The $35 plan should be 6gb to be attractive. The $40 plan should be 12gb and the $50 plan should be 24gb.

These are all byop plans so asking that much is very reasonable.

So i hear people complain but honestly where can I get 20 GB for $50 I’m seariously asking? I’m paying $75 for 20 and now it seems the big 3 are all up to $80 for 30. Just creeping everything always upwards.

Atka, Freedom is YMMV. Honestly I'm with freedom for since sometimes there is an issue but it's manageable at $50 20gb with iPhone 11 on it the big 3 cannot beat that one.

Freedom Mobile
Line 1-2 $50 20gb with 35% F&F iPhone 11
Line 3-4 $65 20gb with 35% F&F iPhone 12

If you were with Rogers before, they probably should have been calling you offering 25 GB for $45 a month.
