[Freedom Mobile] Free iPhone 11 - $90/25gb

“Get the new iPhone 11 for Absolute Zero on select Big Gig Unlimited Data Plans4 for only $90/mo. and save up to $979! New customers, pre-order in-store,” explains Freedom Mobile’s website.

iPhone 11 on Absolute Zero with Freedom Mobile means $0 upfront, $0 extra monthly and $0 extra after two years, says the company.

The math works out to $2,160 paid after 24 months ($90 x 24). Subtract the iPhone 11 cost of $979 and you’re left with $1,181 for the wireless portion, or $49.21 per month over 24 months, for 25GB of data. That’s not bad at all.

Before referral credits and Friends and Family code as well! Wonder how much the total cost per month would be. I took advantage of the $360 iPhone 8 plan + 35% F&F code two years ago December. Not sure if this is worth the upgrade or just continue to save money once the $15 per month for the iPhone is paid off. While just waiting for the iPhone 12

Has freedom cell reception improved much since a year ago? It was just horrible inside mall, in all small towns, long stretches along the 401, etc.

For those who don’t need 25gb, try to wait until at least Black Friday. iPhone 11 is outright cheaper than the XR. So we should be seeing deals for the $60 or $70 plans soon
E/ especially with f&f codes

I'm in the same boat. Would like to upgrade my iPhone 8 but don't want to lose my 35% F&F discount.

F&f only gives you $15 a month now if you switch plans even if you were on the 35% off one so factor that in too. Posted on Reddit by multiple people and I spoke to chat and they told me the same as I was looking at moving to a plan with more GB.

I would say wait for 12 as it should have 5G as if you change now your still be under the 2 year when 5G roll out.

The $90 plan actually provides 30GB (25+3+2N, autopay).
Store has 3GB bonus to add on activation.
VoIP offers flexibility, economy, carrier independence
VoIP.ms / CSipSimple / VoIP.ms SMS / Groundwire
TCP for reliable mobile VoIP, low battery impact

So there’s no tab component to this? Since the plan is $90? What happens if change plans after a year?

I was under the impression that your F&F discount disappears altogether if you switch plans. I thought the only you can keep F&F while getting a new phone is to buy it outright and keep your old plan. Is that not the case?

This really depends if you need 25gb of data lol. If not this is a horrible purchase. You are essentially stuck spending 2k on an iphone 11. Rather just buy the phone outright and port to cheaper and better services like public mobile or get a Koodo migration.

Your title is also misleading. The phone is not "free" if you deduct the phone cost by the 2yr plan.
