[Freedom Mobile] Freedom Iphone 12/12 Pro Preorders, $0 Upfront

Freedom mobile just posted their Iphone 12 preoders.
Iphone 12: Upfront cost: $1152. Deal: Preorder at Freedom for $0 upfront on a $55 plan and $35 tab, total savings: $312
Iphone 12 Pro: Upfront cost: $1440. Deal: Preorder at Freedom for $0 upfront on a $55 plan and $45 tab, total savings: $360
Both of these are for the base models.

Obviously i have to add that this deal isn't for everyone
1. You have to live/work in an area with great freedom coverage
2. No 5G network for now.
3. You are locked to a 2 year contract with Freedom mobile, leave early and you have to pay off the tab balance + the device savings yet to be discounted.

Now with those out of the way, not a bad way to get the iphone 12 right now.

EDIT: Comparing this to other Carriers:
1. Fido: $638 upfront, $33.34 monthly tab, plus whatever plan for the 12 pro. $361 upfront, $33.34 monthly tab for the 12.
2. Koodo: Fido: $648 upfront, $33 with tab plus, for the 12 pro. $361 upfront, $33 with tab plus for the 12.
3. Telus: $0 upfront, $40 monthly if you bring it back, $60 monthly if you don't, with plans starting from $75/month, for the 12 pro, $30 monthly if you bring it back, $48.33 monthly if you don't, with plans starting from $75/month for the 12.

So, if I go with the pro and cancel right away, I would pay only 45x24=$1080?

I stayed with Freedom for 6 years. Service in Calgary and Edmonton was great, roaming in between the cities was useless. In Ottawa service was average, dead in a few areas, normal in others. In GTA it was overall below average. In the end I have reduced my phone usage a lot over the past two years and Zoomer's 5GB $36 plan was cheaper than my Freedom plan so I switched. My 2 cents.
Be a nice person and enjoy life

LOL. You might be onto something there! Following the preoder through shows the discounted tab at the end where it says total owing.
Someone must've messed up because usually total tab at signup is the full device fee. Then every month they tale out an extra amount, so you pay $45, Freedom pays $15ish...
Definitely worth exploring

who can explain this to me????? how is this possible? check the pic below
How is it possible? it's a promo. They are offering a huge discount on the hottest phone available today in a bid to tie new customers down to 2 year terms, by undercutting their competitors

If you leave early you pay off both tabs.. the mytab charge as well as mytab device savings... So pretty much whatever their retail price is. But you guys are welcome to try it.

will update OP to reflect this. Freedom didn't state it anywhere but I guess they assume it's obvious

Maybe I’m not seeing it, what’s the tab savings for a $50/month plan? No way I’m giving up my everywhere 50.
