I really don't understand what criteria they look at to offer these deals.

I've been a customer for over 6 years and haven't been offered a single promotion or bonus offer. Not one. At all.
Think from their perspective. You being with them for 6 years means you are a 'safe' customer. You find the equalibrium between service received and money spent. They probably won't spend an effort to give you anything for free.

I notified this in my account a few days ago, not sure what it is.
Btw, I am with their PYW plan. $40 + tax for 180 days prepaid.

I have the same plan as yours and I just noticed that I have 5G add-on , so I turned on the data, but I was charged 2 dollars, it actually 1buck for 1m for PYW plan.

Yeah, I've racked up over 1GB a month with no apparent extra charges. But Freedom's system is somewhat glitchy. My PYW account also has the $2/day max charge. Most of the time I get charged nothing for call/text/data. Once in awhile they'd ding me for $2, the odd times $4, and sometimes they would automatically credit back the $2. Weird, but I don't really have a basis to complain.

I started the service in 2011, then switched to PYW 2013. Seems after 2 bucks deducted, there's no more deduction.

Well, you are the mayor of Toronto, maybe they think you don't need the extras? I know with Rob Ford was mayor he couldn't get anything extra from his carrier (he was with Public Mobile). Give Heather Taylor a call at 416-392-8773 or check in with her when you're in the office next, she's able to fix up a lot of things.

maybe that's why I got dinged for 2 bucks when I turned on my data first time today. I think I saw it available a while ago, never had turned it on. 5g for 2 bucks/month is still a great deal!

Public Mobile? You here? Can I get some free data too?!!?!

But Freedom’s amazing for just handing out data for free randomly to customers, I wish I got some... I’m on the wrong carrier I guess..

I'm on Promo Big Gig Everywhere Canada 50 plan from 2015.

Got this message on Jul 2, 2019:

Freedom Mobile Update: Great news! You will now get an extra 5GB of fast Freedom LTE data each month, just for being a Freedom Mobile customer. Your bonus data will be applied to your account within 72 hours, and you will receive a text to confirm when it has been added. You will continue to receive this bonus data as long as you maintain or upgrade your existing plan. There are no changes to your monthly bill and no action is required. Enjoy Freedom!

And this on Jul 3, 2019:

Freedom Mobile Update: You have now been subscribed to Loyalty 5GB Bonus Freedom Data. We hope you enjoy this feature!
I believe that anything more than 50% of its original price is not a good deal

No, the 2 bucks max is supposed to be $2 per day max. Is your plan the grandfathered Pay Your Way?
