[Freedom Mobile] HOT! 40GB Freedom Data + 1GB Nationwide Data + Unlimited Call/Text - $50/month (YMMV - Loyalty Offer)

I know there is a thread already for the $30 for 15GB Data, however I think this deserves its own thread since it seems quite hot imo!

Basically I spent all day talking to various Freedom Chat reps, and finally I got one that would offer me the original $30/15gb or $35/20gb, but I asked if there was any other loyalty plans that were available and they gave me the options of:

$45/30GB or $50/40GB, obviously I chose the 40GB plan since it seems to be the best value :)

No additional promos or discounts were allowed to be applied to this plan and I lost my previous bonus data addons.

Pricing is lifetime, until I decide to make a plan change or cancel.

Very happy with this offer!

For reference I've been with Freedom since 2019.

Does it show as 40GB when you check usage or 50GB?
The $30 for 15gb + 1gb nationwide also has a 10GB bonus data promotion added on top of it at least according to the CSR

No, it only shows as 40GB usage. The rep told me they don't offer any more data then 40gb currently.

I have to say, Freedom retention dept is superior to the big 3, Fido and Koodo. Freedom actually has loyalty plans/offers whereas Fido will make you pay more than their new customers.

Not sure, didn't ask, not interested in locking into a contract. My iPhone 8 still works :)

Upvoted, because this is an excellent deal for those who want/need that much data and are with Freedom, imo. Silly downvotes.

I really wish Freedom would not be bought by Rogers. We will not have any competition at all if this gets swallowed up by one of the big 3s.

Upvoted eventhough I recently moved my entire family to TELUS during their cyber monday sale.

It's refreshing to see Freedom are offering loyalty deals, in stark contrast to the predatory tactics of big mobility in Canada. If it weren't for the limitations of Freedom's network, we might still be with them. We had 3 phones with them for 9 years, back to the Wind mobile days.

I have to completely agree with your assessment. I was really surprised a year ago when I told a rep via email that I needed to be put in touch with someone with the authority to give me the now-expired advertised offer (after trying to get through to someone for over three days) or I would need to switch providers...and they couldn't even be bothered to respond.

Would be interesting to see if the rumored Rogers takeover down the road will continue with these deals

Nice find OP. +1.

I just did the Koodo to Freedom port during a recent prepaid promo. Did the winback and went with Telus $50/30GB. I will call them back Tuesday and see what the can do to sweeten the deal. Nice Freedom...nice. Thanks OP!

Someone who drives or doesn't work in an office uses that much data no problem.

Nothing can beat telus $35 for 30 gb with scope of multi line discount and device options. I use to be freedom customer but moved to Telus and even if freedom gives me a better deal than this, Telus is far superior in network and have 5G

Telus is far ahead from freedom we all know that but not everyone can access that offer from Telus.

What would be the best plan/offer to aim for, if I'm currently a Freedom member and looking to upgrade my phone? Preferably to an S21 or a Flip 3.
