[Freedom Mobile] LG G6 $710 off - $0 upfront + $10/month for 24 months

Freedom Mobile has the LG G6 for $0 upfront and $10/month Tab Boost for 24 months. You'll be paying $240 (before taxes) for a 2017 flagship phone-- not bad.

Edit: must get phone as part of current in-market $50/month plan.

This is a great deal! I have the LG 5 and love it. The L6 is a great phone as well. I've had LG's phones for years now and Loved them all.

If I get the phone now with a plan, and cancel the plan in a week, can I just pay the tab balance like Koodo or still paying full payment as their plans before?

You will need to pay the full balance if you cancel within a week (if you want to keep the phone).

I keep seeing hot deals from FM, but I also keep hearing that their reception is "best to avoid" with very limited coverage and slow internet speed. Considering this, wouldn't the deal(s) be less hot (or even cold) when it comes to signing a 2-year contract? Since you will be stuck with poor reception for 24 months!

Ultimately, it's YMMV. I've been with Freedom Mobile since the Wind days and I would say they have improved every year. But there are still moments I'd like to curse at them because of service disruptions. But over-all, I'd rate them 8/10.

I have the LG G6 since day 1, and for $240, that's not a bad price. It's certainly not a high end phone, when compared to the rest, but it easily beats all the midrange phones in this price range.

Has a great camera when used with the Google Camera HDR APK.

Phone shows it has wifi calling. Does FM support wifi calling? If so, does it only works on select phones? I don't see wifi calling shown on iPhones

I have LG G6 from Koodo and using it on FM, can confirm that Wifi Calling without any issues (after receiving latest update).

Where can you get $10 tab for LG G6?
If freedom mobile works on my area this is a great deal, plan $60 10gb less 25% discount $45 + LG 66 $10 = $55 10gb with LG G6.

Thanks.
I thought it would have been a different model of G6 for FM. Are you getting LTE service as well?

Yup, getting LTE on B66. LTE is also coming on B4/7 later this year (hopefully in few months).

Speedtest from 403/Dundas: http://www.speedtest.net/result/a/3665063278

If i get LTE, the phone is usually blazing fast.. 4G is sometimes annoying but it has improved quite a bit in the last year and once LTE is available for B4/7 it should get even faster (and 4G even slower).

If you guys are happy with Freedom Mobile I guess this is a good deal. Otherwise I don't like the thought of being trapped into their network for two years just to get this deal as a new customer. I would be quite wary of this, personally. $710 is an outrageous price to pay for this phone if you had to cancel for any reason.
I am a Zoomer customer.

Bad deal as you're trapped with freedom/mobile and sporadic service

Better deal to get koodo phone and cancel
