I'm with Freedom already so if I want to get this phone outright I can just go to the store and buy it contract free for $312?

Great if you're on a grandfathered plan with $100 tab
No, since it's just $449 at Costco outright right now

$150 "savings" to be tied to freedom for two years is not worth it

I had the G8x for a short while, bought from Costco for $600 total. I was on the P20 Pro. The G8x was at most a sidegrade, maybe even worse than P20 Pro in performance. LG skin has always been bloated and sluggish.

The only advantage it had was the quad-DAC. I returned the phone to get the 7T instead for $450 all in and honestly it blows the G8x out of the water.

Lol I usually sell my old phone and with the P20 Pro I can get around $300-$400 in my area. So the 7T is not much more money.

Shaw mobile offers the same.
If you have Shaw internet, you could do $0 dollar plan to get the phone and then cancel.

The cost will be $20 activation fee + $312 phone price + tax.

this old model must be close to end of life for software soon. if that matters to u samsung does 3 years for mid range and up. i used to love lg but 3 years support is pretty sweet.

If you cancel, are you able to re-apply for the free $0 by the Gig plan? I don't want to lose out on a free line (I'm already maxed at 6 lines).

because costco doesn't come with a tab and you aren't tied to Freedom for 24 months. the price of the phone isn't really $312 at freedom

You can get this phone without a tab for $312 plus tax at Freedom Mobile

Just have to sign up for their lowest price plan ($20) and cancel.
