Freedom Mobile paying off tab early

Freedom mobile has discounted iPhone 11 on tab. What are their rules on paying off tab early? Do you keep the discount of does it get added back on? The T&C just says the balance of the tab is owed.

What did you mean freedom discounted iPhone 11 on tab? Just paid off tab two months earlier and upgraded to 11 on last Friday. May I call in to adjust difference?

I have no idea, but you can purchase an iPhone 11 for $720 on medium tab. That’s $720 with $0 tab, or any combo of down and tab that adds up to $720, What I want to know is if I pay the $720 off right away, can I leave without incurring the $260 discount.

I paid $129 up front and freedom put $850 on my tab. I will pay $25 and freedom pays $10.62 to reduce tab balance every month. If I leave earlier, I will pay off the entire balance not just my portion. Hope it helps.

You can pay off tab early but you can't leave without paying out the subsidy as well

Eg you need to pay off remainder of your own tab plus the portion freedom is "paying" each month as well for remainder of your term

No, you need to pay off the $260 as well as that's prorated and "paid" monthly by freedom over legnth of your term

So what I’m hearing you say is that even if I pay the full amount up front $720, and have $0 tab, with no contract - if I leave before the 24 months is up they will claw back the $260 subsidy.

Unfortunately yes.

The subsidy is pro-rated, ie. if you quit halfway through you'd have to pay the remaining $130 of the subsidy that they would have been paying had you stuck with them.
