The rest of your analysis deviates from PPI to discuss other tangentially-related items.

I say this with maximum respect, as you're nonetheless providing factual technical information. So let's call it bygones, I'm not looking for a Saturday afternoon back-and-forth.

God bless.
All I'm trying to say is majority of people coming into threads like these are better off people told the straightforward terms used in places like YT reviews and articles to better help them figure out what they're after.

If someone's is asking about the specs of the device I'm not going to get into technical analysis about various parts as they don't know/care about that, I was just trying to make it as simple and straightforward for the person asking about the specs.

Enjoy what's probably the last decent weathered weekend! 🙏🏼

Along with the WiFi Calling, VoLTE is indispensible for the best experience on Freedom.
You need VoLTE enabled on the device and active on the line to be able to access 'extended range' LTE B13.

I'm reading multiple sources suggesting B13 is a pretty big deal for Freedom. I'm glad I came across this thread. It's already established that 700Mhz is a solid band, so this may not be surprising.

Another great deal from Freedom for a top shelf product.
And another round of downvotes from folks who were burned by Wind or missed a couple of calls on FM.

Let me be the first to say, if you had a bad experience, move on, this deal isn't for you, neither is the thread.
Isn't this apply to every threads? If you don't like the deal just move on don't down vote it. Why are you just recommend redflagdeals get rid of the down vote? Nothing against, but every one has their rights to express themselves.

You aren't wrong. However certain topics seem to bring out the bile in some people, common examples include Canadian Tire, Game of Thrones, Freedom Mobile...

Why do you think it is not for new customers? If not for new customers, can you explain what "switch" means?

GTA freedom customer here. I agree the service is not as good as the big 3 but it has really improved a lot over the years especially since they were purchased by Shaw. Freedom works well if you mainly use your phone in their freedom coverage area. For me this works out fine as freedom pretty much has the GTA and Vaughan covered. Also, Shaw their company, is investing big in network expansion and improvement with 5g coming soon. If there was one major flaw for Freedom it would be their customer service call centre which does get outsourced for overflow calls. The call centre reps are clueless and of no help.; thankfully I have only had to call a few times over the years and have managed by using the self serve option.

Just got the phone! Those 150 dollar tab credit only applies for when you purchase the phone with the other plan other than this promotion so no point of thinking about it. This is also applies for new customer too, not sure why people thought it was for existing customer. I ported my plan $50 6GB fido plan to this and the rep was able to waive my $40 activation fee too! They said it will be charged on first month of bill but will be waived after. Also the plan is $65 plan, but you get 5 dollar discount of it with preauthorized payment setup that goes down to $60

None of you business…
I see the bring any phone in get 150 credit but yet no term and conditions. Anyone have ideas on that. Frankly the lack of conditions is prime for a regulatory complaint if they deny it. I'm not their lawyers but I'd rein in their marketing people.

Sounds great, especially with the current data plan and new B13 coverage for major cities and surrounding areas.

Side question: There's very little talk of pump and dumping phones after a 30 to 90 day period. I don't recommend this, but is it even economically viable to abandon contract and pay outright?

Considering getting this. Currently have a $60 virgin mobile plan, 6GB data with unl. text/talk and a samsung note 5 that's seen better days. (Battery charge doesn't go over 70%, lost the pen, doesn't fast charge unless wireless charging).
Anything I should know? Seems like I'd just be getting a free phone and more data with the swap but might be more to consider.

I'm halfway throught my Freedom contract with an Absolute Zero Pixel 3. My tab balance is $550 but want to upgrade to this phone... It seems like my plan would work. Does anyone know if I would have to pay out my Tab or if they'd do an upgrade?

Can I apply for Vacation suspend (keep the phone number with no service for 15/mo) if I get this plan? I don't want to pay 60/mo if I don't use the service

1. The S20 FE is to the S20 what iPhone 11 was to iPhone 11 Pro. It is a brilliant move by Samsung.
2. If you have Venngo (or similiar) and an old beater phone lying around, you can save $245 before taxes off the $949 price on the Samsung site. ($95 Venngo + $150 trade in credit)

I just ordered the blue one for $705 plus tax. It is an incredible value. Just for comparison iPhone 12 starts from $1129 for the 64GB version. I will not go into the discussion which one is better as each of them has their advantages and disadvantages.

Another bonus is that you can take up to 36 months to pay for the FE on the Samsung website with no interest. For me, this clinched the deal.

There are two types of temporary suspension.
https://www.freedommobile.ca/en-CA/supp ... --en--0--1

The $15/mo Vacation Pass is not available if there is an active tab on the line.
The Voluntary Suspension continues to bill normal monthly fees, only the service is suspended.
