[Freedom Mobile] Winback Offer - Save $15/month on plans $50+ for as long as you stay

Got this offer from Freedom after porting out to Fido. Not a bad deal if you get their 15GB $50 plan, you end up paying $35/mo for 15GB for long as you are a customer. I’m personally going to wait until Jul 27/28 to see if they change up their special offers and get something better.

I was previously on their absolute zero 2 year plan with iPhone XR included for $75/mo. Then a month before contract ended they said “here’s $15 off if you keep your current plan of $75/mo”. I noped out because I didn’t want to pay $60/mo and get nothing out of it. They also wouldn’t let me switch to a cheaper $40 plan, said it was for “new customers”. So I ported out because I didn’t want to be scammed.

That a good deal is like you get a friends and family discount. That deal is much sweeter if they will offer $0 tab phone e.g A52 or XR or pay $10 tab get a much latest device.

I'm happy with Freedom in Vancouver, and I've travelled all through Southern BC. I guess it depends what your needs are.

Freedom was terrible in Alberta up to late 2019. Has it gotten any better?

I am on the F&F discount on a grandfathered plan (think regular price is like $49) but pay like $32. I wanted to get the A52 as I needed a new phone. I went to the store to check the A52 out and if I was eligible for the tab, they checked my account and told me I was and I would pay like $15/month. I then went away as there was some promotion online saying if you order online you will get $100 off.

I went home and checked and the online site kept coming up with $25/month plus $20 up front cost (ie the only discount I would get is that $100 off but would be locked in for 2 years).

I went back to the same store and they told me the person I talked to made a mistake as he did not factor in all my discounts and that I would only get $100 off the phone if I locked in for 2 years.....I imagine this will be the same thig here were your tab amount will be based on the discount amount not the original amount.

I ended up just buying the phone outright as Staples had a sale for the phone $150 off plus $50 coupon..

I am pretty happy with A52 by the way, since I gotten this phone my coverage is so much better (no more dead spots in my house) plus first time I was able to hook up wifi calling.

My kids don't complain but we are in major city. They like the free access to Shaw/Freedom hotspots so they don't use the Nationwide data when they move outside the freedom zone.

Tried to leverage this deal with Fido, and then tried to bluff to Freedom for something more. No luck lol.

They also offer me the a52 for $15 tab, but i wanted to get $0 tab and if it's possible get a pc point at the mobile shop.

I'm In Kitchener, Ontario & I received one yesterday, $15 off the 10GB for $50 plan so 10GB for $35 for 24 months (2 years) with digital discount, offer expires August 31st. Signed up with them on a deposit account September 30th, 2019 on a 5GB for $40 plan with a LG G6 I bought used, September 9th, 2020 while still on a deposit account I ported out to Fido for what should have been 9GB for $40 for one year but ended up being 9GB for $50 with $120 in credits received separately ($60, then another $60) to compensate for not being able to give me the $10 off/month for 1 year, still with my used LG G6. Now I'm thinking/debating of switching for the discount and if it's for 2 years, I'm thinking of maybe looking at getting a phone to replace my old G6, maybe with like a $5 tab so it would be 10GB for $40 with whatever phone.

Good for you. The question is how long it will last?
