[Freedom Mobile] [YMMV] Freedom mobile! 13GB for $45 CNE Toronto Only

Hey guys! Just saw this at CNE! I'm not with freedom but maybe others can take advantage of this!

My first real post, hopefully I didn't botch it.

Nope not a chance, FM not in the same league as the Big 3's and their subsidiaries in terms of network coverage.

No way. The last time they attempted this resulted in the $60/10GB fiasco that flooded their call centres.
I love RFD! :)

For those interested, note that the 13GB is made up of a special 3GB promotion which will disappear in 24 months. This is a promotion shown on their website which you should clarify if you sign up.

Last year Freedom had the Promo Everywhere 50 plan for $37.50 ($50 minus 25% off), with permanent 2GB bonus at the CNE. The booth was only there for a week or so.....

The booth left the CNE probably because Freedom setup a booth with the same deal at Fan Expo. This year, Fan Expo runs from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2. They may or may not do the same this year.

I was there yesterday and yes, it's for 2 years only.

The plan is month to month. No contract. If you want a phone for $0, you can get the Samsung A8 but you would be in a contract for 2 years. If you cancel before the 2 years, you'll just pay out the balance of your phone.

I asked about the Samsung S9 and S9+. For the S9, it would be $0 down, but add $15 to your monthly charge. For the S9+, it would be $0 down but add $20/month.

S9: $45 + $15 = $60/month
S9+: $45 + $20 = $65/month

Hope that helps!
