Freeze / Thaw Credit

Hi All,

I know the US gives people the ability to freeze/thaw credit. I was wondering if we have the ability to do the same in Ontario? I remember hearing that a bill in place to get this rolling, did it ever turn into a law?
I have a few friends that were victims of fraud recently and the ability to freeze/thaw would be nice. I guess we are entering desperate times with all this record level debt!
