French / puff pastry - frozen, where to buy?

I know I can find it pretty much everywhere, but so far I have no luck finding anything made with real butter. They are all made with margarine and weird oils. Anyone seen?

If not, you can try any french pastries or general bakery shops in your area. I don't see why they would not sell you their dough

You can try health food stores. Some of the larger ones may have butter based.

Also, try European stores? Puff pastry is pretty popular and you may find something.

But I honestly have spent some time on this too about a year ago, and I don’t have any stocked up... because I didn’t find any. I managed to find decent phyllo out of Greece, but that’s it.

As a last resort I’ve done the following:

America’s test kitchen recipe for puff pastry for croissants: https://www.google.ca/amp/s/myyearwithc ... sants/amp/

Or Julia Child’s: http://www.alacartetv.com/baking/recipe ... pastry.htm

Found it in WholeFoods last night. But at $15.99 for a package.... nope. First ingredient was grass fed milk butter. Exactly what I was looking for.
Beside it was another package for $3.99....... palm oils, shortening and other crap I chose not to eat.
