I don't want to raise too many expectations but If you've never had a freshburger, the regular burger is very good. Think "in-n-out" simplicity. You don't need any of the paid extras toppings IMO. I regularly get mine with pickles which is a free add-on.

Review of the place while I'm in line. It's in the strip mall across from Vaughan Mills. The place is a decent size, but for this promo forget about getting a seat as they're taken by families taking their sweet time eating.
There's a single cash taking orders and then the line snakes in front of the grill area where the food is prepared fresh.
The beef comes in balls which is then smashed flat with a spatula. The simple menu means workers can focus on making a good burger with few distractions.
Fries go from the fryer into a bowl to be salted. Nice to see no heat lamps here. Should ensure hot fresh fries everytime.
Unclear if there's WiFi. The guest network asks for a password - maybe it's printed on the receipt? Edit: no code on the receipt so I guess the open guest network is an oversight.
They don't accept Amex for those looking to get 4% back.

(Thoughts are my own and not a reflection of rfd)

Took little over an hour but got my order. 4oz burger with Bacon (extra $1) and side gravy for the fries. The burger has a nice meaty taste but if I were do it again I would skip the bacon. It just wasn't needed here. I love that the bun has nice caralmelization around the outer edge to give a crunch when you bite in. The fresh sauce isn't overpowering which is nice to see.
The fries were decent and a generous portion. On a non busy day I would probably ask to have them cook it a little longer as I like my fries extra crispy. It was also a tad salty so I would also ask no salt and do it myself (but again it was crazy busy so I would give this a pass).
Drinks are choice of cans and bottled water.

Overall it ranks up there with the other premium burger restaurants in the city. If you're in the area it's a good choice for your next meal.

They have a location in Richmond Hill, its okay, if you need a fix for a fresh burger, but based on cost and taste, I rather make one at home or wait till I get a chance to visit Holy Chuck/Burger Priest.

Is it one per person or can you get a second one for your SO in the car?

We use 100% Certified Angus Beef with no fillers which is the highest grade meat above Prime. Our prices are at least $3 per person cheaper than our two competitors you mention. Our customers come from far all the way from Ajax and Brampton. Our burgers are simple so it’s not for everyone. We call it no mumbo jumbo burgers. By the way, I can confirm now that the next Fresh Burger is coming to North York.

Thanks for that information.

For me personally the appeal of Burger Priest/Holy Chuck is that I can order medium rare patties. Since they grind their own meat in house they are able to control for the dangers if bacteria that occur when purchasing pre-ground meat.

It's hard to have a regular burger, once you've tried a medium-rare burger.

We are the same. Some customers ask for for medium rare. The health department doesn’t allow it and makes no exceptions for fresh providers like us. But next time you come ask for it done the way you want it.
