Speaking of eggs, remember when you could get a 12 pack of eggs for $1.99 a year or two ago?

Depends on your location IIRC. Egg prices out west are usually more expensive than Ontario.

SDM weekend special in BC: 12 for $3.29
Ontario: 12 for $2.99

I dont understand why there is price between west and east. I am living in Calgary. I am thinking Alberta does not have ports and big population. So the food price is higher. Why BC? It seems that BC and AB have similar grocery prices.

Never seen it below $2.49 here in Ottawa. Now it's $2.99 when it's on sale.

BC has the highest fuel tax in Canada. They is what happens when you offload your Skytrain operation cost onto fuel tax.

Still doesn't beat the tray of eggs for $5.99 a couple of weeks back at Metro and FreshCo several weeks back.
Then $5 for a tray maybe six months ago!
At this rate, I might as well buy one rooster and one hen, let the rooster go loose and give it weeks for the hen to lay eggs. Free eggs.

The rooster will Cock-a-doodle-do in morning and the hen will in night time
