FS - Rock Band (1)

Currently, May 1-7, the original Rock Band for PS3 and Xbox 360 is $99. It is also currently available on their website for that price. Hot?

Its been at that price for quite a while now, even though fs/bb likes to say its "on sale"
Price errors are the only real sales :)
I refused to be gouged by canadian retailers when purchases can be made in the U.S for a LOT less..

Do you think it's a good game for $99? I'm considering buying it but also looking at Rock Band 2.

I got a full set on Kijiji for $60 2 months ago.

Check your local Kijiji first if you want a good deal!

I think this is the better bet if you can afford it.

But if not, you will still have a lot of fun with the RB1 set!

That is exactly what you want to do. It costs a few dollars to transfer the songs ( i think there are 3-4 that you can't transfer, but the rest is no prob). The instruments included with RB2 are also better quality and the drums are quieter (doesn't sound like you are knocking on wood when you tap a drum with the stick)

While that is a good idea, you should mention that you do need to spend like $7-8 in Xbox Live points to download the RB1 songs onto the hard drive.

But don't worry, RB sells an official drum kit for $20 to quiet down the drums! I found my friends and I liked the songs that came with Guitar Hero World Tour (GHWT) more than RB1. But that's a personal preference. You should look into the basic songlist that comes with each game.
