Fully vaccinated - does Air Canada need a Covid test prior to boarding for Germany via Switzerland?

I've been trying for a while to ask this question to someone from Air Canada without any success (can't reach anyone on the phone). I know Germany and Switzerland don't require any test if fully vaccinated.

The reason I'm asking is most of the folks I've talked to, they seem to think Air Canada won't let you board a plane without a negative Covid test. I did spend quite some time on that website, but couldn't find anything related to that, just requirements to the destination country.

All travellers from Canada are allowed to enter Switzerland, if they have:

a negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or
a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. They could be subject to a COVID-19 rapid antigen or PCR test upon arrival at their own expense; or
a positive COVID-19 test result of a test taken in the past 6 months and a recovery certificate; or
a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing they were fully vaccinated at most 12 months before arrival. Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm and Sinovac.
This is what I see on the website.

Air Canada does not set the rules, they just enforce them at departure time.

I think OP does not, with good reason, trust AC to enforce their own rules....which time and time again they dont.

AC, and pretty much every other airline for that matter, just enforces whatever shows up in Timatic as an entry requirement for your destination and/or transit point.

Check for yourself here and save yourself the hassle: https://www.united.com/en/us/timatic?i=TIMATIC
