Funding Announced for Richmond Hill Subway Extension --- real estate bump timing?

With the new funding announcements for the Richmond Hill subway extension, how quickly do you think the real estate prices will see a bump, due to the announcement? Especially people who tracked the prices in the Vaughan region, when did the major bump occur?

New Funding To Advance Several Rapid Transit Projects
Premier Wynne also announced funding—totalling as much as $9 billion—to support other transit projects including the relief line subway, a northern extension of the Yonge subway to Richmond
Hill and a waterfront light rail transit line. The Government of Canada is supplying about $4.8 billion of the $9-billion sum.

Relief line, Yonge north subway and Waterfront LRT to get provincial funds
The Ontario government will provide funding for Toronto’s relief line subway, the extension of the Yonge north line as well as the Waterfront LRT, the premier said Thursday at an announcement with Mayor John Tory.

RE prices are slow to react and usually don't project future value into them unlike the stock market.
If you're certain to invest and are willing to hold capital in it, it's worth a shot.
But generally prices are reflective of the current state of affairs.

Wow Wynne is just handing out money to buy votes.

I mean sure this is great news but the timing is just too perfect.

Based on current estimates this won't be done until 2031. And that's assuming there aren't changes in policy or delays.

Based on current estimates Wynne will lose and this won't happen.

Likely it will happen either way as Government of Canada committed as well.

I'd be willing to be that in 20 years I won't be able to get on a TTC Subway in Richmond HIll.

That would be great if it happens...alternative way to get into the city... The Gormley line has limited schedule with no GO Bus or Go Train weekend services...

Based on what facts? Everything points to it being the next priority for the region, along with the relief line.

Based on how long it took to do the extension to Vaughan, how long it's taking to do the Eglinton line, etc.

Priority is not Yonge-RH extension. It's relief line and then cross town. There is Scarborough extension and Finch Cross Town on TTC 10-year plan as well. This could take many many years to come so don't just base your decision on solely on subway line. Especially if your timeline is less than 10 years.

Vote grab. It's not gonna happen. How many times have we had transit-projects scrapped? Yeah.
