furnace not heating up

Hello! I'm trying to fix my furnace is not heating up. I did the basic troubleshooting such as powering on/off the main switch, checking the filters, opening the front panel of furnace and checking the lose ends. I believe one of the parts could be defective. If any experts around here can give me some suggestion how to go about this it would be really helpful. Thank you

Do you have a multi meter and can do basic electrical troubleshooting? Can you tell us what happens ( sequence of operation ) when you call for heat. With the information you have provided, unfortunately its impossible for anyone to help you in any direction.

Not so easy there Ma…
There should be a diagnostics LED on the main board and it can provide a blink code. There's an interlock switch on the lower panel and it must be in place for the furnace to get power.

With the covers off - when you power up the furnace the exhaust motor should spin up (the one in last photo).

Do you hear it going? If no sound - its probably seized and needs to be replaced.

Do the gas jets light up?

After a bit the main blower should start - does it?

In my case - the exhaust motor would screech and die after a few minutes - killing the heating cycle.

Error code can help show if its something like a pressure sensor that stopped working. Hopefully not the main board....
