Future Shop has a 2 day iPad sale going on June 4th - 5th. All the prices are the same at Best Buy as well.

iPad Air 128 GB Cellular - $849
iPad mini with Retina Display 16GB - $369

The $649 64GB iPad Air is $70 off from the regular price of $719 which is a decent deal.

I'd say go for either since you are getting the employee discount, or go for 32GB. I can tell you for sure that if you plan on installing a lot of apps/games and sideloading media, it will eat up the space quickly. Have both the Air 16GB and Mini Retina 16GB and not much space left.

Both are great devices, but go for the Air if you want a larger screen.

Futureshop now has iPad Mini at $40 off. And Target gives a $25 giftcard with a purchase. Wonder if we can pricematch AND get the giftcard at Target.
