Yes still works. The only rhing you won't be able to do is get the 3 months for $1. You will only be able to convert it all for one month price of $16.99 since you already used the $1 offer.

I'd be willing to roll the dice on a $10 key from G2A but no way in hell am I spending $100+ to get the Game Pass upgrade deal with G2A keys.

There's zero protection and still common reports of fraud from sellers who buy keys with stolen credit cards, sell them at a quick "deal", then ride off into the darknet. Consumers left holding the bag because these keys are ultimately cancelled once the credit card chargebacks go through.

I'm sure many people have had good G2A experience and that's great for them. But it's not worth the risk for me especially when it's tied to a permanent account that I don't want to get banned/flagged.

Let your Game Pass sub expire. Wait a minimum of 24 hours (sometimes 2 days is for the best), then activate any amount XBL gold time (usually at least two years... But not more than 3 years worth!). Now finally using one month of Xbox Game Pass, activate that to convert your entire XBL Gold sub into Xbox Game Pass. You cannot do these steps in reverse.

I meant after using Gamepass for a year or three , can I revert back to Gold live subscription again, or it won’t let me do so..

Yes. Wait 24-48 hours after your sub is lapsed and you can do the whole process again.

You revert to nothing. You just now have no introduction xbox live or game pass. It's $17/month. You buy live you get live, you sign up for gamepass at $17 you get 1:1 conversion. IMO xbox live codes will go away within next 12-18 months and only gamepass will be redeemable. xbox live will be free. They will get you through GP included DLCs....

If you still have gamepass and it hasn't lapsed the 24-48hr as recommended to revert to nothing (used to be called xbox silver/free) you'll be given game pass at the xbox live currency rate of 3 months xbl to 1 month gamepass or worse. It's not a linear conversion and i'm too lazy to look it up. I'm 99% certain it'll inform you X months live expiring DATE is that OK before redeeming the key, as well as gamepass $17/month expiring DATE which should be +1 to the xbox live months you've collected.

So if I’m currently on the 3 months of Gamepass Ultimate for $1 offer and I add a year of XBL Gold, what will happen? I’m probably better off letting that expire and doing what you said above right?

Yes exactly!

But waiting at least 24 hours AFTER the expiry is important before you redo all the steps.
