Games on Steam keep crashing R11 Alienware

Hey guys,

I jumped on an Alienware deal back at the end of December and the computer finally shipped mid January. I’ve been mainly using it for video editing but when I try to game on it through steam, the game will load and it’ll either crash and take me back to steam or I’ll get into the game and it’ll crash after a few minutes. It does this with all 3 of the games I have on steam. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue. I’ve updated the drivers and other updates but still having this same issue.

My configuration is pretty specked out as well, running an I9, 10900kf, 64gb of ram, 3080, and running the software on the ssd.

GTA
What games? Monitor specs? Latest Nvidia drivers from scratch/clean install?

How is it crashing? Error messages? Back to desktop? Rebooting the computer?

Tons of more details, screenshots, etc. etc.

Its most likely the 3080
Check the temps, reinstall drivers from nvidia
if same do what this guy suggests and undervolt. apparently there are some settings in the alienware drivers to do it

Contact dell to get a replacement card

One person said they reseated the gpu which fixed it,,hmmm

This shouldn't be a problem on the latest drivers. Nvidia's "addressed" this by limiting the turbo on affected cards.
