Gaming Monitor questions

Hi guys,
First of all thank for help about this, i'm looking to buy a new monitor and even with all the reviews and info i found on google, reddit, etc.. i am still lost..

I want to buy a monitor 24, 24.5 or 25 inch, can't go bigger since i have a small desk, my last monitor was buy in 2008 so everything will be an upgrade.

I'm so lost between TN, VA & IPS. My girlfriend gonna also work on this monitor so he as to be flat.

I think i should look for at least 144hz refresh rate since i do some casual gaming (warzone, CP2077 soon)
I have a brand new Legion gaming Laptop,GTX 1660 Ti video card, which gonna be my primary computer on the screen.

Should i go for IPS no matter what or should i consider something else?
Around 300$ max if possible

you guys have some recommendations?

I bought a TN and was a little disappointed to learn later I could have picked up the #1 IPS on earth for ~400 on dells website. Anyway, you live and learn and at least I got my second choice. IMHO, I would not go bigger than 1080p on a 1660 Ti, if gaming was really a prime concern, framerates in games will be very limited, probably around 30-50 FPS, so you won't even be maxing out a 60hz screen. Productivity at 144hz should be very comfortable and provide a notable improvement as well.

really you just gotta look at each monitor individually and watch and read the reviews from professionals and determine what suits your practical needs.

TN has darker colours, IPS is more bright / vibrant. VA i think is inetbween. Hence price ranges.

You can def get 1080, 144hz monitor IPS . The harder thing to get is 1440p, 144hz, but doable at 24"

You can also get a color calibration profile for this monitor here, and other monitors as well, to help you bring out the best in your colors; but with the money you saved you could also buy a monitor color calibrator, which is always better than using third party color profiles, as each monitor is slightly differently. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s2419hgf

Its the color accuracy that can be somewhat off on TN monitors, but newer advanced models are almost on par with top notch IPS. According to Rtings, after calibration, "The Dell S2419HGF has exceptional accuracy after calibration. Most inaccuracies are corrected, and not even enthusiasts will be able to spot any remaining ones. Gamma follows the target curve well, and the color temperature is very close to the target of 6500K"

note for next black friday, cyber monday can come back with a fury.

Note the time 6:00 am, Ontario time (est), is when dell and most other online retailers update their online deals in canada... which vancouver time is like 4:00 am i think. So at 4:00 am Van time you will catch the deals first.

i am guessing this is the best 1920x1080 TN monitor in the world.

dell wallstreet banker religion golden calf's holy landed the price again moments after I posted this, on their deals page ironically, to the normal 579 but keep an eye on it, anyone interested
