Don't bother OP. Using wifi at a time where most people are at home doing the same = highly inconsistent wifi even if you are using 5Ghz or running a mesh network.
You could settle for powerlines or ethernet cables, but you wont get gigabit speeds with powerlines. Powerlines typically run between 100 and 10 megabits so that could be an option if you don't need gigabit speeds.
using wifi the latency adds to your ping for online gaming, like a wireless mouse many shy from it for fps gaming do to higher latency response. That said the best wifi is another router that matches specs with your main wifi then put it in client bridge mode if you have to go wifi for gaming.
To lower pings overall you need sqm cake support on your router.
