Get 2 free movie tickets with 8 bags of m&m chocolates

It's Back!!!
In this week's RCSS flyer (see post 18)

here's the url for this year years link from Post #18 (thanks kilobomb)

Buy 8 M&Ms and get 2 free movie tickets [sadly, I still have M&Ms from last time (and possibly, 2014)]... *AS MENTIONED BELOW* specially marked packages only** (thanks JIB9022)
It's all done through a separate website this year vs Facebook last year but they cut the limit in half, only 4 per household (Limit of two (2) requests per household (maximum 4 tickets in total))

I think if you get them on sale the small bags are $2 each so… $2X8=$16 + tax $18.08 for 2 tickets.. that's $9 for a movie ticket and all the M&Ms you can (should) eat!

Keep in mind, it is not ALL varieties of M&Ms... last time it was only plain and peanut (brown bag or yellow bag) and the Snickers and Twix. this year they appear to have added Skittles and Starburst mini (those Starburst are a bit too waxy for me)

here's the RFD link to the last time they had this offer: lots of talk about the costco bags being the better deal or not

YES.

Dollarama is the best for finding them at $2 in my experience.

It says it needs to be "specially marked"

I got the free movie tickets last time, not all m&m chocolate bags participate and you need to buy specific m&m chocolates as I recall.

The ones that participate are clearly marked. Just make sure you get the right ones

Found them at Dollarama last year

I love this promo. Not only do you get free movies, but you get cheap snacks that are easy to smuggle into the theatre so you don't have to pay $6 per bag. Who ever came up with this idea clearly didn't think it through.

Is it better to just wait for the costco bags to go on sale for like $10 each?

In the west they are on sale this week. But the ones I saw there today were not the specially marked bags. Might be a while before they go on sale again here. Maybe different in the east; I don't know. But in the west I suspect the answer to that will be no, get the smaller bags from other stores.

That Facebook link says the promotion is over. What's up with that?

Saw a commercial for this last week, thought I was missing out on this promo lol guess not!

Hopefully we can track down a good price.

Note the size of the specially marked bags, they are generally larger than your average snack pack bag.

sorry, my fault, I originally had no link because I only saw last year's program. Then when someone mentioned the page I didn't check the link... it was last year's page -updated to reflect in the original post

I was doing my weekly shopping last night and saw NO specially marked bags at RCSS or Walmart (in Halton) tons of product for the sale but nothing with the ticket offer on it... buyer beware!!! The bags in previous years were CLEARLY marked!!

Wal-Mart in Guildford Mall (Surrey, BC) have "clearly marked" berry flavour Skittles for 2.22 a pack. No sight of M&Ms though.

Sadly, this promo has caused huge issues in our house. Previous editions had the promo code stamped inside the bag so I had bags stuffed everywhere around the computer. They switched to a pin code on piece of paper two years ago. While at Gaurdians of the Galaxy two years ago I unfortunately ate a pin code. A new issue emerged as the pin codes are small and quickly disappear causing huge issues and my anxious prowling of the Walmart isles. Then just now my wife noticed the pics above and screamed an obscenity while walking out the door. Luckily my daughter bought me a large M&M egg holder this Easter to store the pin codes in.

I went to three Dollaramas on the weekend. None of them had the right M&M packages. I assume they're clearing the regular inventory out first.

All of them had Starburst and Skittles with the promo though. St Clair & Jane, Keele & Dundas West, Dufferin Mall.
