Getting into the market during COVID

I'm pretty new to all this and consider myself quite investor-illiterate. Ive been reading alot and trying to gain as much info as possible. It seems markets are down from COVID and it may be a good time for me to get into the market. If you had advice for someone at this time with the forecasted downturn and supposed record unemployment coming, what would you do? I have around 50k I could invest but would likely be more comfortable investing 5-15k as a start. Quest trade is attractive - ive been looking into their robo investor for my RRSP/TFSA. If you could mold a brand new green (noob) investor - what would you recommend?
